About

Riding the Net is a personal website and blog that documents a variety of my going-solo adventures across the internet as I traverse virtual worlds, hang out in online communities, geek out on Flash games, and occasionally lose my wallet to online shopping.

The internet is both work and play for me like it is for many other people and Riding the Net is all about the play.

Let’s ride!

As paradoxical as it sounds, I actually rather dislike online social networking.

In a nutshell, it opens up too many avenues for people with psychological issues with stalker tendencies to become actual stalkers. I have had more than enough of my share of such people in my life and so to social networking, I give a big fat, “Hell, no!”

If you want ’em, you can have ’em.

Go ahead and post your personally identifying information and watch as you collect a few crazies along the way.

But I won’t.
